1944-1952, collection of the french occupied territory of Fezzan, mounted by the french officer Lt Colonel Ferry who was working in the direction des territoires du Sud in Alger. The collection is made out of 44 Fezzan covers and 23 épreuves de luxe. It starts for exemple with several POSTE MILITAIRE 1944 covers from the rare first flight "PREMIER SERVICE AVION TUNIS-SEBHA" including one with air mail Sassone #2 (1500€ on cover), POSTE MILITAIRE 1943 + PREMIER SERVICE AVION GHADAMES franked with air mail Sa. #2 (1500€ on cover), a very rare 1944 cover showing the "MISSION SCIENTIFIQUE FRANCAISE DU FEZZAN" postmark + POSTE MILITAIRE 560 cds and signatures of all the members of the scientific expedition, 1944 "INAUGURATION DU FORT COLONNA D' ORNANO MOURZOUK" covers (one of which is a rare FM postage free mailing), Algerie stamps used on scarce commercial mail from SEBHA SUD TRIPOLITAINE 1946, three carte maximum from SEBHA 1946, very unusual commercial mail from SEBHA 1950 franked with 15f (Sassone #23 900€ on cover) sent from the Fort Lecler and showing various transit backstamps. 1948 Air mail stamps 100f + 200f on cover (Sassone 900€), 6 commercial covers sent from GHAT 1948-1952 franked with Algeria stamps, two covers from SEBHA 1951 which look commercially franked with the 1951 issue (Sassone each 900€), the high values of the 1951 set on two very unusual FDC from SEBHA etc...The collection ends with 23 epreuve de luxe (die proofs). A rare offering of this french occupation of the former Italian Tripolitania and of what later would become Libya.

Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
