CAPE OF GOOD HOPE 1853-1904 INTERESTING USED COLLECTION with "Triangles" on cover, pairs & values to a selection of 1s, QV & KEVII "Rectangular" issues to 5s plus a selection of Revenues. Presented on album pages, the collection starts with a an old map of the Cape Province then continues with an 1858 letter from Post Elizabeth to Craddock bearing an 1855 4d blue (SG 6a) an 1858 E/L from Graham's Town to Cape Town bearing an 1853 4d deep blue on blued paper (SG 4), both stamps are tied by barred cancels & have full margins, an attractive selection of thirty "Triangulars" (1853-64) with all values represented with full margins & a most useful range of shades inc 1d x 8, 4d x 13 inc three pairs, 6d x 3 & 1s x 6, "Hope" seated CC Wmk to 5s, 1880 CC Wmk 3d, 1884-90 CA Wmk complete set with many shades to 1s, KEVII 1902-04 set with shades to 1s, Revenue ranges include CC & Anchor Wmk QV to 2s & a KEVII 5s.
