OCCUPAZIONI ITALIANE : ALBANIA

Il 7 Aprile 1939 l'Albania fù occupata dalle truppe italiane.

L'allora regnante Re Zogu I abbandonò il paese e la corona d'Albania fù assunta il 16 Aprile 1939 da Vittorio Emanuele III.

Il 28 Ottobre 1940 ebbero inizio le azioni di guerra contro la Grecia, che continuarono sino al 10 Dicembre, data in cui le truppe italiane furono costrette a ritirarsi fino alla cosidetta " Linea SODDU ", lasciando l'Albania meridionale sotto la dominazione greca.

Il 26 Settembre 1943 Vittorio Emanuele III è costretto a deporre la corona e il paese fù occupato dai tedeschi fino all'Ottobre 1944.

Dal 29 Novembre 1944 riacquistò l'indipendenza e l'11 Gennaio 1946 fù proclamata LA REPUBBLICA POPOLARE SOCIALISTA ALBANESE.
