1940 USE OF KEY STAMP OF 30 d: Airmail letter with appropriate tariff from Mokronog via the airport in Zemun 5 Franking is appropriate 38 din for abroad letter up to 20 gr. (Din. 4, tariff in force from 01.08.1936) and the air tariff of the second weight tier of 6-10 gr. for the U.S.A. (Din. 34 ie 2 x Din. 17, tarif in force from 15.05.1940 to 13.09.1940.) The air mark on the front side is of the old form (no longer in use) 'PAR SERVICE AERIEN FRANCE - ETATS UNIS'. In this period of fasting, a post went to the USA via Lisbon. The line via France was suspended immediately after the outbreak of the Second World War. This form of air marks was likely left behind in the Ljubljana postal administration. Zemun 5 transit airport and possibly Lisbon transit.
