1990 - 2004 INFLATION COVERS. A large box containing a spectacular assembly of commercial covers sent overseas to Australia & the USA during 1990 to 2003. Surely the basis for a very interesting specialised collection, every year shows at least one different rate, we see small covers costing 45c in 1990, later that year 90c, in 1991 $1.16, then in 1994 $4.60, by 1999 $9.90, 2000 $16, 2001 $21, 2002 $48 and later the same year $180, early 2003 $400 and later that year $5400, finally in 2004 a small envelope to the UK bearing $40,000!! Of course the rate changes caught people out and we see postage deficient mail with various cachets, there are about 150 large Printed Matter covers with spectacular frankings - we note several items with over 100 stamps, one cover with 153 stamps!
