    Dear members,

As a complement to our communication you can find here: Link (https)

Given the current spread of the coronavirus, delaying the epidemic is a social goal.
Delcampe takes this responsibility seriously. We have put in place many internal measures to this end. Our employees now all work from home.
We guarantee that our services will continue to be available on a constant basis and we will process inquiries as quickly as possible, as usual.

We are monitoring the situation on a daily basis and will, if necessary, adapt the site's operations to help you in this complicated period.

Like so many businesses, we are doing everything we can to help our community through this period of uncertainty. We ask you to be patient with each other, but also with us, and to treat each other with kindness. Although this situation is unprecedented, we are optimistic that we will all come out of it stronger and more resilient.

One of the main challenges we must now anticipate is the impact of this epidemic on delivery services. It is indeed possible that they will become much slower, or even come to a standstill .

As the forum is a fabulous online meeting and discussion place, I would like to ask for your help on the following issues:

    1. What do you think Delcampe should do for its members in the coming weeks?
    2. How will you react as a seller if deliveries were suspended for several weeks?
    3. How will you react as a buyer if deliveries were suspended for several weeks?
    4. What are your main fears for the next few weeks?

By answering these 4 very important questions here, you will help us a lot to anticipate any difficulties and to ensure that our service will function as well as possible under the current tough conditions.
Thank you for your help and support.

    Good luck to you all,

Sébastien Delcampe and his team :d-happy:

1). Make the "close and restart"-feature available for all sellers regardless.

As French/Italian/insert other country here/?/? sellers are unable to visit an office or even a post box to despatch items, everything is at a halt for me as a buyer. Unless sellers are incentivised to lower prices because of: delcampe promotions and positive action to them with lower fees and commissions or as supply and demand equalise, I am curtailing my buying. Fears are to be stuck in the house forever.

4). My only fear is that I need to go to the hospital, but there will be noone there to help me, because there are too many sick people and too few employees and equipment to help all. Stay home, stay safe!

Stamp collecting is the perfect stay at home hobby. It is a good distraction from what is occurring all around the world.People need to
isolate themselves as best as possible and avoid all unnecessary travel.Order your stamps, the mails will get through. As a seller,my orders will be mailed as long as there is mail and I believe the mail will continue regardless.Delcampe should keep a positive outlook and keep sending it's members updates and news.My only fear is that people will let their anxieties rule their lives. We will all get through this
crisis and we should all do our best to keep a positive outlook.Fear and stress can be just as damaging as the virus.
I wish all Delcampers to stay well...we will get through this.

    Hello from Switzerland!
The main problem for us suppliers is to know IF and HOW the postal connections currently remain? As ALL countries are isolating themselves more and more, I am very skeptical

Likewise, it is more than doubtful that buyers, who - for example - pay with PayPal, are now becoming so understanding and ..... (quote) "... be patient with each other, but also with us, and to treat each other with kindness. "
    :fight3:
It is well known that it is very easy to get the paid sums reimbursed after a short delay if the delivery does not arrive in time (regardless of the reason why).
    :deal:
As long as this uncertainty persists, I will immediately suspend the "PayPal" payment method ........... knowing that this decision will also have a negative impact on my sales.

..... let's see how things are going?

    Greetings to everyone from Sofia

to be optimistic after a certain period of time
    everything will be normal.
If it is possible to enter a purchase intention
a purchase that will be made in the future when
everything is normal. For these intentions there will be no fees. And interest in the site will remain.
at present, the Bulgarian Post does not accept shipments abroad

As more and more Post Offices close more and more the market shrinks. At the moment here in the UK the PO's are still operational but this may change if we go the way of Italy which highly likely due to the ineptitude of our Government.

I have decided to continue as long as my local Post Office continues operations and I continue to receive mail which normally constitutes new stocks and supplies. If this stops then my income stream stops so I will have to close down until things improve again.

Whatever happens I hope my customers and suppliers stay safe and take all precautions to keep themselves and their families safe as well.

    Germany

As a week of isolation in Germany following observation could be made - Mails to Germany working pretty well -i.e. same or nearly same time of delivery as before the crisis. Mail to other countries - yet accepted by the post in Germany are not so clear - I still have no feedback if and when my mails arrived to other European countries and if the delivery overseas is overall in progress.
My inbound deliveries - either other countries from Europe / UK or overseas are not showing as of now in reasonable time - i.e. delay to delivery to Germany from other countries is there (on how much - it to be seen).

I propose to give some feedback from the countries of origin - how is it working from your country ( I undestand India is full on hold for example) both for outcoming, incoming national and international post delivery. This will help - for example to hold the postaga or invoicing some items for a couple of weeks or mothes.

Thank you and stay safe and healthy all of you. :psy:  :pc_user: :d-happy:

I have had no notice of any restraints by the U.S. post offices as they continue and will continue to service mail to most countries. I am still posting purchased items to many countries including Russia and China. I know a lot of avid collectors look forward to receiving new postcards for their collections so I enjoy the thought that even in this crisis, these purchases are making people happy in their confinement. Cheers from Richmond Virginia. Michael

    Hi everyone,

just wanted to thank you all for your interventions.
I do hope, just as the rest of the team, that you are all doing fine.
This is a very difficult time for everyone but we, at Delcampe, are there to face this storm with you.

Wishing you all a pleasant day (quite a sunny day here in Belgium )

Stay safe and take good care of yourself.

Hello everyone! I'm in Hong Kong and for most countries, we can only ship to them, using SURFACE mail at the moment. I've attached a photo I took at the Post Office earlier this month.
Please stay safe everyone and enjoy your time at home, if possible

The epidemic situation in most European countries is finally getting better. I very much hope that the disease will go down worldwide. Much respect and respect to the doctors who courageously fight this contagion. :Здравствуйте:

As it looks at the moment, "normal" postal traffic within Europe is possible again. Therefore I will install PayPal again as a payment option from the end of May. Thanks for your comprehension !!
