    Switzerland

With great regret we have to say goodbye to a veteran from the 1930s ... from one of the last "Auntie" Junkers Ju52, that has crashed on August 4, 2018 in southeast Swiss Alpine Region during a round trip, while all 20 passengers & Crew aboard were killed. It was THIS machine, reproduced on the 1988 Pro Aero stamp, but at the end no longer painted in the original colours shown here - but BLACK
At that time around 1988 she was still wearing the original military code A-701 in addition to the civil enrollment HB-HOT.

Incidentally, this aircraft is still in memory of movie fans, because of the the iconic winter camouflage, the plane also wore in real until the early 80s - but with Swiss cross on the tail and not with Nazi swastika as in the movie with the German title "Agents die lonely". The stars - Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood - who managed their spectacular escape at the end of that war movie thanks to this aircraft .
About 10 years ago, this machine came back to the cinema. And once again she was decorated as a Nazi plane, used in the WWII movie "Operation Valkyrie" with hero Tom Cruise .........

......and now this sad ending........what a tragedy
