The medal was awarded to all the military personnel who served in the US Armed Forces, between 1941 and 1946.

The obverse features a figure of Liberation. The reverse shows several inscriptions, separated by a palm branch and surrounded by the words ‘United States of America 1941 - 1945

World War II Commemorative Half Dollar - Philadelphia Mint - UNC

The obverse features the faces of 3 Americans from all branches of the armed services. The reverse shows an American soldier engaged in battle on the beach of a Pacific Island.
