Bi-métallique (centre : maillechort - anneau : cupronickel) - UNC (non circulé) - 8 50 g - Ø 25 75 mm - frappée à 100 000 exemplaires.

Sur l'avers : Un portrait de Lucien 1er Grimaldi de profil tourné vers la gauche. L'inscription "1512 SOUVERAINETÉ DE MONACO 2012" apparaît au-dessus du portrait dans un arc le long du bord supérieur de la partie interne de la pièce. Sous le nom "LUCIEN 1er" la corne d'abondance de la marque d'atelier de la Monnaie de Paris.
Sur le revers : Une carte du continent européen est représentée sur une toile dynamique composées des douze étoiles de l'Union européenne.
