SS Tiro, built by Sunderland Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Sunderland in 1910 and owned at the time of her loss by D/S A/S Govik (Christensen & Paulsen), Sandefjord, was a Norwegian steamer of 1442 tons. On December 29th, 1917, Tiro, on a voyage from Barry to Rouen with a cargo of coal, was sunk by the German submarine
