Former ROC President Yen Chia-kan, better known as C.K. Yen. In 1975, he became the president of the RO China. Yen was a man of principles. He was selfless, modest, cautious, open-minded, and indifferent to worldly fame and wealth. Furthermore, he helped to lay down strong foundations for Taiwan’s economy. In a sense, he blazed the trail to Taiwan’s economic miracle.
The NT$5.00 stamp features the President´s portrait. The NT$15.00 stamp shows the President´s concern for farmers.
