1949, airmail cover addressed to New York, U.S.A. bearing Gold Yuan Hwa Nan issue $1,000 dark blue strip of three and 21 copies of $5,000 carmine, tied by cds of Qingshuixi, East Szechwan province dated 2 May 1949. The cover is also marked with purple indicator "Air-mail To Shanghai/ Ordinary to U.S.A.". The cover was franked with Gold Yuan $128,000, equivalent to Silver Yuan $0.16 (international 20 gram $0.10 and domestic airmail surcharge $0.06), rate between 29 Apr and 5 Jul 1949.
