In 1992 there was a sudden shortage of 1s stamps on the island so the local post office decided to overprint a small number of sheets of the 1988 20s fish which would tide them over until a new 1s stamp could be printed and sent from London where the printers Walsall Security Printers were located.

Because only a small number of sheets were overprinted for postal use, none of these stamps were sent to new issue dealers or available for orders from the Philatelic Bureau and so mint examples have become quite scarce.

Australia Post SMALL international registration envelope - 10.00 euros - used for smaller items and smaller covers.

Australia Post LARGE international registration envelope - 16.00 euros - used for larger items and larger covers. NOTE there is no tracking with registered letters. Tracking costs a little bit more.

On certain occasions if large total is purchased, tracking may be required and I will advise the cost - currently it is 21.00 euros

NOTE - IMPORTANT - WHEN REGISTRATION IS COMPULSORY

Registration fee MUST be paid when:-

1. Total cost of items purchased is over 60 euros.
2. Any country I deem necessary because of risk.
