1940, Freimarkenausgabe "Friedensallegorie" 1.25 Fr. lebhaftmagenta. Die echte postfrische Marke hat einen echten senkrechten unvollständigen Handstempelaufdruck in Type II. Der Postvorsteher "Berton" des Postamtes "Coudekerque-Branche" hat von Anfang an seinen gesamten Markenvorrat mit dem Handstempelaufdruck in Type II versehen. Die nach Auftrennung der Bogen- oder Bogenteile in Markenpaare noch teils verbliebenen Einzelmarken überdruckte der Postvorsteher dann im Ausnahmefall senkrecht "zentrisch" auf der Einzelmarke, da als Paar ein Überdruck nicht mehr möglich war. Der Aufdruck wurde wegen der Markengröße nur unvollständig (statt ca. 34 mm lang nur ca. 24 mm). Die Erhaltung ist einwandfrei. Die sehr kleine Auflage der regulären Paare betrug nur ca. 80 - 100 Paare. Bereits bei diesen Paaren (große Rarität) sind nur 5 Paare bekannt. Die wenigen noch vorhandenen Einzelmarken wurden teils auf einige wenige Ankündigungsblätter verklebt, oder, wie dieses Stück, in ganz vereinzelten Fällen an das Publikum abgegeben, davon sind bisher auch nur ca. 5 Stück bekannt, alle ungebraucht(*) ,* , **. Eine äußerst seltene Rarität! Fotoattest Herbst VP (Mi€12.000,-).
