10KR-BRIEF DER HANDELSKORRESPONDENZ FIRMA "J.W.GOERING"
23.1.1875, Ludwigshafen-Bremen/Hamburg-London-Hammilton/British Nordamerika. Nach dem PV vom 1.10.1871 ist der Brief mit 10Kr für die Beförderung via Bremen/ Hamburg passend frankiert (Marke leichte Mängel). Der Leitvermerk "by Steamer via England" wurde nicht beachtet, da eine Leitung " via England" 14Kr kostete. Die Rötel Notation "20" zeigt das Weiterfranko von 7Kr an (20Pfg=7Kr), die verbleibenden 3Kr gingen an Bayern. Die meisten der wenig erhalten gebliebenen Briefe, so wie auch der hier gezeigte, stammen aus der "J.W.Goering"- Korrespondenz und haben dessen Wirtschaftsbeziehungen mit Bayern/Pfalz zum Inhalt. Häufig wurde von der Firma Goering bei Clemens Grohe/Ludwigshafen Waren bestellt, die dann per Segelschiff nach Canada/Quebec-Stadt und weiter per Eisenbahn nach Hammilton spediert wurden (bei den Waren handelte es sich u.a. um Wein, Selzer Wasser, Schokoladen, Rauchwaren, usw.). Briefe der Kreuzerzeit nach Kanada sind selten. 10Kr unten links mit Eckbug.
