FELDPOSTBRIEF MADRID-BAMBERG AUS DEM NAPOLEONISCHEN KRIEG 1809 AN DIE RHEINARMEE IM VORFELD DER SCHLACHT VON REGENSBURG
01.03.1809, MADRID-BAMBERG, FELDPOSTBRIEF DER "RHEINARMEE" NAPOLEONS an den Futterverwalter der Armee, Herrn Cassé, siehe Anschrift "á l'armeé Du Rhin". Der Brief wurde in Madrid geschrieben, wo Napoleons Armee "Francaise en Espagne" zu dieser Zeit lag, siehe schwacher Stempel "No 5 Arm. FRANCAISE EN ESPAGNE". Napoleons Truppen hatten sich Anfang März um Bamberg zusammengeschlossen, siehe Vermerk "Bamberg". Napoleon hat seinem General, dem Marschall von Frankreich, Davoust (auch Davôut, später Kriegsminister, gilt als bester General Napoleons) befohlen, sein Hauptquartier in Würzburg einzurichten. Einen Monat später KÄMPFTEN NAPOLEONS TRUPPEN IN DER SCHLACHT VON REGENSBURG. Der Deboursé-Stempel oben (kopfstehend) "N/O 32 DEB. ARM. DU RHIN" zeigt an, dass die Zustellung des Briefes an seinen Empfänger Herrn Cassé nicht erfolgte und der Brief an das Feldpostamt Nr. 32 der Rheinarmee weitergeleitet wurde. Mit dem Deboursé-Stempel (Deboursé = Auslage) entlastete sich die 1. Abgabepost und belastete die 2. Abgabepost mit dem angefallenen Porto. BRIEFE AUS SPANIEN AN NAPOLEONS RHEINARMEE IN BAYERN SIND SELTEN!
