DIE DEUTSCHE REICHSGRÜNDUNG ALS FOLGE DER EINIGUNGSKRIEGE 1864, 1866 und 1870/71
10.11.1874, München-Metz/Deutsches Reich, als einfacher Brief bis 15 Gramm betrug die Taxe jetzt 3Kr. Zuzüglich der Chargé-Gebühr von 7Kr. addiert sich die Gesamttaxe korrekt auf die 10Kr. (geringfügig repariert). Von 1871 bis 1918, in der Zeit der kaiserlichen Monarchie, gehörte Elsass-Lothringen/Metz zum Deutschen Reich. Es wurden die jeweiligen Chargé-Nummern in München und Metz notiert. Adressiert an: ,,Wohlgeborenen Herrn Eduard Wimmer, Premierleutnant u. Adjutant im 8ten bair. Infanterieregiment in Metz". Befund Sem, BBP.

Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
