1934 FIRST ROCKET POST SUSSEX DOWNS 6 JUNE - a lovely group of four covers and a souvenir card, includes three covers addressed to Germany or Switzerland each bearing London APEX Exhibition stamps in three different colours overprinted "ROCKET POST / First British Flight" with "TRIAL FIRING / SUSSEX DOWNS / 6 VI 34" cachets alongside, and with Brighton & Hove meter marks of 6 JUN 34 in red, another similar cover addressed to Germany but bearing 2½d KGV stamps tied by Brighton and Hove cds of 6 JU 34, plus a special printed folder bearing an unoverprinted London APEX stamp.
