BOER CENSORSHIP: 1900 Envelope from Pretoria to England with colourful three-colour franking of Transvaal 2d, 1d & Â½d all tied by cds 19 Mei 00 and crossed horizontally by light pen strokes (typically seen as an anti-theft measure). Bears an outstanding strike of the scarce cachet "GEZIEN / POSTCENSOR / PRETORIA / ZAR" in violet which was in use between the 16th March to 5th June 1900 at Daspoort POW Camp (Pretoria). Croydon backstamp arrival cds. Minor perimeter imperfections from opening. Rare, most attractive, VF Boer War letter.
