Color Silver Foil specimen of 2004 18th Asian International Stamp Exhibition Souvenir Sheet(s/s) No. 1 - Taiwan Landscape. Formosa(Taiwan), Rep of China.

The official presentation of Taipei Post Office.

The background of the souvenir sheet is a shape of Taiwan Island. On its right side is a light blue ocean with fine white horizontal lines; to its left is just a field of light blue.

In the foreground are the following scenic vistas: Yeliu, Gueishan Island, Sun Moon Lake, Mt. Ali, Taroko Gorge and Kending. Sun Moon Lake and Mt. Ali have been chosen for the two stamps. On the left side of the souvenir sheet is a black-winged stilt, a protected bird that lives in the Biegu Wetland Ecological Preserve in Dongshi, Chiayi County, and on the right side are the cetaceans of Taiwan´s East Coast. The plum blossom at the bottom symbolizes the indomitable spirit of Taiwan.
