1890 - 1933 NICARAGUA UPU POSTAL ARCHIVE "SPECIMEN" COLLECTION A spectacular and probably unique collection of complete sets , mostly overprinted "Specimen" mounted (stuck) onto the original UPU archive pages of a French Colonial Office (Tunisia) starting with the 1890 Official ovpt set, 1891 Goddess of Plenty set, 1892 Columbus set, 1893 Arms set, 1893 Telegraphs set, 1894 Victory set, 1895 Arms set, 1895 green Official set, 1896 map set, 1898 Arms set, 1898 Postage Due set, 1900 Mt Momotombo set, 1900 and 1901 ovptd Postage dues, 1913 ovptd sets, Cabo Gracios Dios so called "unissued" stamps but these sent to the UPU, similarly Dept of Zelaya issues, incl 1909 ovpt set, and 1909 "C" ovpt on Zelaya, 1912 Locomotive set, extensive range of 1911 and 12 Railroad stamps surcharged for Official use, 1912 Liberty set, 1914 Buildings set, 1921 Personages set, 1928 ovpt set, 1928 Buildings set, airs incl 1929 and 1930 Plane over Mt Momotombo issues, 1932 Interior ovpt and surcharge issues, 1933 Flag of the Race issue, 1933 Int Airpost Week set etc. A wonderful and historic "document" of these often contentious printings proving that several disputed issues were indeed sent to the UPU as bona fide postal instruments.
