Mount Taishan has 112 peaks, the main one being Jade Emperor´s Peak. In addition, there are many cultural elements to the site including 22 temples, 97 ruins, 819 stone tablets, and over 1000 stone inscriptions.

Mount Taishan has been considered a symbol of heaven for over 3000 years and has been a destination of personal pilgrimages of the emperors for over 2000 years.
