Chinese Stone Lion Stamps which takes as the motif the Stone Lion of Lukouchiao.
There are 281 pieces of railings on the Marco Polo Bridge( "Lukouchiao" in Chinese). Each railing has a big lion on it. The male has a ball under his front foot, while the female has one or more baby lions on her back, under her front feet or beneath her claws. The baby lions are depicted in a seated, crouching or lying position, with their heads raised, mouths open and tails up, having a graceful appearance.
