    Here's another banknote puzzle.

    This appears to be Mexico #S1076s, El Estado de Sonora, 100 pesos note (World Paper Money Specialized Issues 11th ed. p.842)
    It looks to me like a copy on the front except that the serial number and "M" under 'series' (some of the rays in the center appear bluish but it doesn't appear to have a "pink and blue underprint" as listed. The back is green.
    The design measures 138 x 65 mm.

    The third image is a 1,000 peso note from the same bank, apparently in the same series except this is not listed in WPM, Specialized Issues. The color is a better in this note and the size is also c.138 x 65 mm.
    The paper quality is not the usual American Banknote Co. quality.
    Has anyone seen genuine notes like these? Are these copies?
