Here is a little quiz, which for some time has been presented to the French forum, where I'm afraid the Francophiles have had little success. They are either missing out on a rather obvious requirement (which I did not state openly at first), or they are trying to be too clever, or both. If you keep calm, it really shouldn't be too difficult.

    LATVIA NETHERLANDS LITHUANIA GERMANY

Numismatically, what do these four countries have in common ?
It is a requirement that it should be ONLY these four countries, so for example "using the euro" does not win you a prize.

But the answer in itself poses other questions, and if you can give as much detail as possible in your answer, it will earn you extra marks ! At the moment, it is not at all difficult to win. There is no material prize in fact, I'm afraid.

I think I have here perhaps an answer which is correct.
The €2 coins (and sometimes others) of these four countries have a patriotic inscription on the edge, like Decus et Tutamen on some English £1 coins, or
Quatuor Maria Vindico on modern £2 coins.

    Latvia

    Germ

    Lithuania

    Liberty, Unity, Prosperity.

Sorry. It must be Germany, not Germ.
