As a seller, you are likely to receive lower bids from members of the website.

Tip : On the - email settings page, you can choose to receive an email for each lower bid received or a daily summary of all the lower bids received.

When you receive a lower bid, there are five possibilities:

  • Accepting the bid
  • Accepting the bid as the starting price of an auction
  • Submitting a counterbid
  • Refusing the bid
  • Ignoring the bid

How do I accept a lower bid?

  1. Go to your lower bids received
  2. Click on "Answer", a new window will open
  3. Select "Accept the lower bid"
  4. Click on "Confirm"

You can find the item in your sold items.

How do I accept a lower bid as the starting price for an auction sale?

  1. Go to your lower bids received
  2. Click on "Answer", a new window will open
  3. Select "Relaunch the item as auction"
    The sale will be relaunched for 3 days.
  4. Click on "Confirm"

You will find the item in your store, in the selected category and in your ongoing sales with bids.

If you choose this option and it was an auction sale, the increment chosen at the creation of the sale will be kept.
If you choose this answer and it was a fixed-price sale, the system will define an increment of 0.01 euros since there was no increment set up.

How do I submit a counterbid?

  1. Go to your lower bids received
  2. Click on "Answer", a new window will open
  3. Select "Make a counterbid"
  4. Choose the amount of your counterbid between your price and his bid
  5. Click on "Confirm"

The buyer will have the possibility to accept or refuse the counter-offer. The counterbid will last 3 days. If he accepts it, you will be able to find the item in your sold items . If the counterbid is rejected, you can find the item in your store, in the selected category and in your ongoing sales.

How do I refuse a lower bid? 

  1. Go to your lower bids received
  2. Click on "Answer", a new window will open
  3. Select "Refuse the lower bid"
  4. Click on "Confirm"

What happens if I don't reply to a lower bid?

A lower bid is valid for 3 days. Once this period has elapsed, the offer is "expired". It will disappear from your lower bids after a final period of 7 days.

Note: A buyer has the possibility to cancel his bid by himself. It will then be indicated "Cancelled  by the buyer"

I made a mistake in replying, what should I do?

As your decision is sent directly to the buyer, it is final and cannot be changed.
