Immerse yourself in the rich history of Uruguay with this captivating block commemorating the 230 years of the founding process of the city of Rocha. Crafted by the talented artist Camila Altez, born in Rocha, the block features a stunning watercolor painting showcasing the iconic church "Nuestra Señora de los Remedios," the centerpiece of the city's historical landscape.

The block also pays homage to the region's maritime heritage with an antique sailing ship, symbolizing the journey of the city's first settlers predominantly from Galicia and the Princedom of Asturias. Their initial quest to conquer the Patagonian coast led them to disembark in San Carlos, where they temporarily resided until the establishment of Rocha by the Kingdom of Spain.

Complementing the narrative are depictions of two fortifications integral to the region's defense and history: the "Fortaleza de Santa Teresa," named in honor of Saint Teresa of Jesus, and the "Fuerte San Miguel," honoring Saint Michael the Archangel.
