Note (among much else) 1857 no corner letters wmk Small Garter 4d (2, pale & dark carmine shades), wmk Medium Garter 4d on blued (3, different carmine shades), on white paper error SG 62b, 4d on ordinary white paper, 4d specially prepared ink on ordinary white paper, 6d lilac on thick paper SG 68b, 1s greens x6 (the 3 shades, SG 71-73, also on thick paper SG 72b, another showing a frame break with Royal certificate), 1862-64 small letters 6d lilac on thick paper SG 83b, on azure paper SG 84a, 9d bistre & 9d straw SG 86/87, 1s greens (3, both shades + on thick paper SG 89/90, 89d) also the rare K in circle SG 90a cat 2750, 1865-67 9d straw (2, incl thick paper) SG 98/98a, 1867-80 9d straw & 9d pale straw SG 110/111, 10d red-browns (3, both shades + the Smaller figures 1 position AA variety), 1s orange-browns (2, including Christmas Day postmark), 2s brown, 1867-83 5s rose plates 1, 2 and 4 (on blued), 1872-73 6d pale buff plate 12, 1873-80 2d plate 2 on blued paper (certificate), 8d orange emergency gutter guillotine separation, 4d vermilion with choice cds cancel, 4d sage-green plates 15 & 16, 4d grey-brown, 1883-84 2s6d on blued paper, much else beside. Condition is chiefly better than normal as the collector was a client of well-known dealers and auctions (250+ stamps, items)
